Vintage Daher England Tin with Handle and Lid, Clock Spinning Wheel Roses

This colorful lidded tin by Daher of Long Island, N.Y., is one of our vintage finds, made in England and stamped on the base. The faux wood grain finish is covered in Americana motifs, including a mantel clock, a spinning wheel, an oil lamp, and violets and roses tied together with pink and yellow ribbons. Gold scalloped trim runs around the lid and base, and the lid has a brass tone ball knob. The round gold wire handle lets you carry it or hang it. It’s roomy enough for cookies, craft supplies, sewing notions, or kitchen odds and ends, and it looks good on a counter or open shelf. Vintage patina, light wear to the finish, and some spotting to the base.
