Description:
A truly showstopping piece of vintage finds: an antique hand-painted Nippon two-piece centerpiece bowl set, comprising a large scenic bowl and a separate matching gilded pedestal base. The bowl features a stunning hand-painted landscape scene inside — a golden sunset, river, arched bridge, and swans nestled beneath lush trees — framed by a rich cobalt blue rim with intricate raised gold scrollwork. The pedestal base echoes the same cobalt and gold detailing and is raised on four sculptural gilded lion's paw feet. Marked on the underside with the "Hand Painted Nippon" M-in-wreath backstamp.

Originally used as a punch bowl, this two-piece set is a dramatic decorative statement, whether displayed together as a striking centerpiece or the bowl used on its own. The hand-painted scenic detail, raised gilding, and sculptural footed base make this a true showpiece for collectors of antique Japanese export porcelain or fine vintage finds.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Some natural glazing variations.

Set includes: bowl and separate pedestal base (2 pieces)
