The bowl features a stunning hand-painted landscape scene inside — a golden sunset, river, arched bridge, and swans nestled beneath lush trees — framed by a rich cobalt blue rim with intricate raised gold scrollwork. The pedestal base echoes the same cobalt and gold detailing and is raised on four sculptural gilded lion's paw feet. Marked on the underside with the "Hand Painted Nippon" M-in-wreath backstamp.
